New Brunswick hospitals moving to the Red Alert level

Surging COVID-19 infections are forcing New Brunswick hospitals to move to the Red Alert level and postponing some non-urgent procedures.

Under a Red Alert designation, hospitals are able to reduce or temporarily suspend services such as elective surgeries and non-urgent X-rays and scans.

New Brunswick has more than one-thousand active cases and 56 patients hospitalized with COVID-19.

Staff are being re-deployed to maintain emergency services and intensive care units. (9)
