Maine State Police and Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to a fatal crash in Calais on the River Road.
The crash was reported at approximately 6:08 am on Sunday, October 10th Calais Fire Department was on scene and Calais EMS had already transported one patient.
A vehicle traveling north crossed the center line and crashed into a vehicle traveling south.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was transported to the hospital with severe injuries.
The driver of southbound vehicle was pronounced at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
