8 more days until the 21st annual Turkey A Thon on October the 10th!!!!

October 10 @ 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

Our countdown is now into single digits!
That’s right, only 8 more days until the 21st annual Turkey A Thon on October the 10th!!!!
We will be broadcasting live on Classic Hits 92.7 and 95.3.
New this year, we will be live around the world, as we are now streaming our signal. Just download the Classic Hits WQDY/WALZ app or go to our website at wqdy.fm to listen. It’s an exciting addition to our broadcast and it should make it easier to receive donations from friends, relatives, former neighbors and co-workers who have moved from our area.
We have already received donations from New Bern NC and from Glen Burnie Maryland through PayPal and Venmo.
Maybe you are going to be away on October 10th. Not a problem. You can use Venmo or PayPal and we will read your donation on the air during our broadcast.
Paypal – Jeffrey Demmons @jeffreydemmons1
Venmo – Jeff Demmons @Jeff-Demmons

Of course, if you are going to be in Washington County, we would love to have you come see us at one of our 7 locations.

Four Corners Shop and Save in Columbia
Dunkin, by the Dike in Machias
First National Bank in Eastport
Bayside Market in Milbridge
Flat Iron Corner in LA, (Lubec America)
Game Time Sports Bar and Grill in Baileyville
VL Tammaro on North Street in Calais.

Our area schools have been busy raising money so they can receive the prestigious Taters N Gravy award, which is given to the school that raises the most money each year. Calais Middle/High School has won this award for the past 3 years! Calais Elementary School is looking to take the award from them this year, but they will have challenges from our other schools throughout the county.

Our partners at Healthy Acadia are finalizing details and lining up volunteers for our Machias, Milbridge, Columbia and Lubec locations. They have a great group of volunteers but could always use a few more. To be a part or this fun event be volunteering, contact Jasmine Haines at – jasmine.haines@healthyacadia.org.
The Fire Dog, Tess Ftorek, Catherine Lee, Shead High and a host of Volunteers are ready to go in Eastport.
Jamie Bohannon is heading up our Baileyville location with students from Woodland JR/SR High School as well as volunteers from businesses and other community minded people.
The Calais Rotary Club is ready in Calais, with help from the always reliable Marianne Moore and Anne Perry as well as Machias Savings Bank and other local volunteers.
And of course, our sponsors, Dunkin in Calais and Machias and VL Tammaro in Woodland and in Calais, have been ready since last year. They are usually the first to step up and participate. Remember them when you are ready to purchase some great food or coffee or everything you need to heat your home.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me or call me at 207-214-5984.
Thank you all in advance for your support and I will be back in touch soon.
Jeff
