5th Annual Mini Golf Extravaganza

Cherryfield Academy Community Center will be hosting it’s 5th Annual Mini Golf Extravaganza, Proceeds benefit Cherryfield Academy Community Center Thurs. Feb. 20th, 10 – 12 and 1 – 7:30, Friday. Feb. 21st,  12 – 7:30 and Sat. Feb. 22nd, 10 – 12 and 1 – 7:30. Under the black lights will be held Fri & Sat, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. You might want to wear something that will glow ! Dear Elizabeth” to open the 2020 production season

Stage East and the Magnificent Liars will present Sarah Ruhl’s “Dear Elizabeth” to open the 2020 production season.  The play chronicles the friendship between poets Elizabeth Bishop and Robert Lowell over thirty years, and is composed entirely of excerpts from their published letters. Eastporters Brian Schuth and Jenie M. Smith portray the poets.  The production, in rehearsal since November, will be staged in the former band room at Shead High School.  The actors will play close to the audience in…

20th WCCC’s Student Senate Polar Dip

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of WCCC’s  Student Senate Polar Dip and will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Bangor and Sarah’s House of Maine.   Student Senate has held this event and have raised over $250,000  with 100 percent of all proceeds go directly to both houses.  We are hoping to raise $20,000.00 this year to honor the 20th Anniversary dip will take place on February 28, 2020 at the Pleasant Point Reservation Pier in Perry, Maine.

A winter outdoor fun day is planned for 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on

MACHIAS – A winter outdoor fun day is planned for 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 29 in Middle River Park and the Machias Bay Chamber of Commerce train station, weather permitting. The event will feature tubing, cardboard sled races, hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, outdoor games and more.
