Arrests In Stolen Handgun WCSO
CHERRYFIELD, Maine (WQDY) – Two people have been arrested in connection with the theft of a handgun from a residence.
Acccording to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, a Cherryfield man reported a handgun was stolenfrom his residence early
last Wednesday. The victim said he had let a man into his home and noticed the handgun missing shortly after he left.
Deputies were able to quickly identify a suspect in the case.
Later that day, deputies arrested Timothy Goodling, 29 of Cherryfield for 2 counts of Theft, Class B and Nichole Smith, 29 of
Cherryfield for 2 counts of theft, class E and 2 counts of Obstruction class C.
Both were transported to the Washington County Jail. The hand gun was recovered by the Sheriff’s Office.
(bail set at $750.00 cash for Goodling and $500.00 Cash for Smith. At the time of this release – Friday- both have been unable to make bail).
