Spring Hospice Volunteer Training
Down East Hospice Volunteers is offering a new hybrid volunteer training program.
April 9th, 16th, and 23rd
2 PM to 5 PM
Down East Community Hospital, Machias
This free training combines three in-person training sessions with six self-paced online modules,
offering flexible participation options for community members. Must attend all three days;
a make-up day can be offered. Internet access required.
Training covers advance directives, grief and loss, dementia and Alzheimer’s, family dynamics,
stress management, and more. No medical background is required. We welcome individuals
of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels.
