PRESS RELEASE

***For Immediate Release***

On September 14, 2025 at approximately 2:00 pm the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was informed by the RCMP that a body had been discovered near Wilson’s Beach Campobello New Brunswick. Canadian authorities were able to identify the body as 47-year-old Daryle Hall of Eastport. Around the same time a family member had call the Washington County RCC to report Mr. Hall was missing and had not been seen since 5:30 pm on September 13. The Sheriff’s Office spoke with family and learned that Mr. Halls vehicle, a red Mazda CRX 5, was also missing. During the investigation Deputies noticed what appeared to be recent damage to a concrete curb on the break water pier in Eastport and red plastic possible from a vehicle. Working in conjunction with the Eastport Port Authority a vessel with bottom scanning equipment picked up an anomaly on the ocean floor right of the breakwater. Divers from Cooke Aquaculture were quick to assist and able to locate Mr. Halls car in approximately 45 feet of water. The vehicle was recovered and it appeared Mr. Hall was the lone occupant of the car. Reports from Canadian authorities indicate Mr. Halls death was consistent with injuries sustained from the crash.
