FMO Investigating Fatal Fire in Bangor
On November 10, 2024, at approximately 9:14 pm the Fire Marshal’s Office was requested to respond to a fire that occurred inside a tent at 49 Cleaveland Street in Bangor. The tent was occupied at the time by an adult male who was discovered deceased. The deceased was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta where an autopsy will be performed, and positive identification can be established. Investigators are working closely with Bangor Fire Department and the Bangor Police Department on the cause and origin of the fire. Additional information will be released when it becomes available.
