On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, Maine’s Secretary of State will publish a Notice of Public Hearing to receive comments regarding the Director of the Gambling Control Unit’s proposed text for rulemaking of Sports Wagering in Maine.
On that same day the proposed rules will be made available on the Gambling Control Unit’s website or by request to the Director.
In light of those rules being published Milton Champion, the Director of the Gambling Control Unit will be available on Wednesday, January 11, 2022, for a news conference.
The news conference will be held at the Department of Public Safety’s Samuel De Champlain Conference Room in Augusta at 10:00 am where Director Champion will make a brief statement and answer questions.
A hard copy of the proposed rules will also be available to those in attendance. The public hearing will be held January 31, 2023.
