Narraguagus Bay Health new Information out this Morning

41 residents were evacuated from Narraguagus Bay Health Monday night .

22 Nursing and 19 residential residents.

26 went to Courtland Rehabilitation and Living Center in Ellsworth and 2 to a family member.

13 went to Gouldsboro Recreation Center.  5 Residents  still need placement as of Tuesday afternoon .

Part of the roof membrane (over the concrete roof) was torn by the wind, exposing the concrete structure, insulation, and electrical wiring which is in conduit and not exposed to the weather.

Debris has been cleared and removed from the site as of Tuesday  morning.

Structural and construction engineers are  assessing  the structural integrity of the roof and the building.

The hope is that residents will be able to be safely returned within the next couple of weeks or sooner if the building is structurally  sound and safe for residents.  The Narraguagus Bay Health is having daily conference calls with families of the residents.
