Celebration of Life for Game Warden Pilot Joshua Tibbetts

The Celebration of Life for Game Warden Josh Tibbetts is scheduled for Thursday, May 21. Media are asked to arrive before 11:15 a.m.  No one will be admitted into the building after 12:00. All members of the public are entering into the Cross Arena from parking lot J through the Renewal By Anderson entrance.

Media are restricted to designated areas during the procession and ceremony. The designated areas will be outside the Cross Arena at the Southeast Hammond Lumber entrance (corner of Bass Park Blvd and Main St.), outside the Renewal by Anderson entrance along Bass Park Boulevard and south end of Parking Lot J, and inside the Cross Insurance Arena in the box area atop section 110. Media will not be allowed to move inside. I

There will be a video and audio feed provided by the Cross Insurance Arena and the New England School of Communication at Husson University (NESCOM). Media will be able to access the feed through Mult boxes in the media seating inside the arena, and from the NESCOM communications truck at the loading dock area on Buck Street.

Celebration of Life Schedule:

10:00 a.m. Uniformed law enforcement arrives.

11:00 a.m. Uniformed Law Enforcement will line up in platoons along Bass Park Drive. Guests may enter arena.

12:00 p.m. All guests and media must be inside and in their seats as doors to public close.

12:10 p.m. Motorcade procession from funeral home arrives at southeast entrance of Cross Center, casket team and color guard transport casket inside. Media may film outside at southeast entrance.

12:10 p.m. — 12:50 p.m. Uniformed Law Enforcement Procession enters building. All law enforcement seated by 12:50.

12:55 p.m. Family is seated.

1:00 p.m. Service begins.  Colors Posted. Casket procession enters arena and casket carried to ceremony area.

2:00 p.m. Ceremony ends. Ceremony moves to rear parking lot (parking lot J). Ceremonial details including traditional playing of Taps, a firing salute, aircraft flyover, folding of casket flag, presentation of colors and last call.

At the end of the outdoor ceremony, a motorcade will depart the Cross Insurance area.
