So, it’s a rainy Sunday. A good day to enjoy a ham dinner, watch some football, and talk about the Turkey A Thon.
It’s less than 5 weeks away and things are gearing up. Volunteers are making plans and our sponsors are telling everyone about this special day.
Our partners at Healthy Acadia have been busy organizing our locations in Lubec, Columbia, Machias and Milbridge.
VL Tammaro is clearing space at their North Street location in Calais for our live broadcast.
Our Eastport location will be manned by a great group of people from the area and Jamie Bohannon is lining up volunteers for our new Baileyville location at Game Time Sports bar and grill.
This year our local food pantries need help more than ever. They are struggling to keep their shelves stocked, and they will make sure they stretch each and every dollar donated on October 10th.
Thanks to our sponsors Dunkin in Calais and Machias and VL Tammaro in Woodland and in Calais, plus our partner, Healthy Acadia, every penny donated is spent at local grocery stores, then given to our Washington County food pantries to be distributed to local people who could use a helping hand putting a healthy, tasty meal on their holiday table.
Please take a few minutes to organize your business, civic organization, classroom, neighborhood, and family to come visit us and make a donation on the air. It will be appreciated by so many good people.
If you have any questions, want to get involved, or make an early donation that will be recognized live on the air, drop me an email or give me a call at 207 214 5984.
Thank you all in advance and I look forward to talking to many of you on October 10th, from 7 am until 5 pm as we will broadcast live from VL Tammaro and will be taking donations from our other 6 locations around Washington County.
Peace out and enjoy the rain on your face.
Jeff
