On Friday, May 17, 2024, 68 police Cadets will graduate from the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program (BLETP) at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro.
The BLETP is an 18-week residential training program that began in January with 72 cadets. 68 Cadets will graduate Friday.
The 45th BLETP represents 44 State, Municipal, and County law enforcement agencies that span from Presque Isle to Kittery. This is a diverse class with 23 military veterans representing all branches of the military.
Weather permitting, the graduation ceremony will be held outside on the parade deck overlooking the hills of Vassalboro and Kennebec County.
Join us Friday as we celebrate the dedication, determination, and success of these Cadets and watch as they take the oath of office to become the newest law enforcement officers in Maine.
Attached is a roster of graduates and their respective departments. If you are interested in interviewing a graduate after the ceremony, please reach out to their respective department ahead of time to make arrangements.
Thank you and we hope to see you there.
