Downeast Community Partners (DCP), a non-profit organization that provides services to people in need, will open a new office in Calais on June 16. The office will be located at 11 Church Street, and will offer a variety of services, including:

Early Childhood Education

Child Care

Heating Assistance

Food Security

Transportation

Whole Family Coaching

Home Weatherization

Financial Coaching

Emergency Crisis Intervention (ECIP)

Maternal Child Health

DCP was founded in 2017 by the merger of two other non-profit organizations, Child and Family Opportunities and the Washington Hancock Community Agency. The organization has a mission to “improve the quality of life and reduce the impact of poverty in Downeast communities.”

The grand opening of the Calais office will take place on June 16 at 3 p.m. The event will feature remarks from DCP staff and local officials, a ribbon cutting ceremony, and refreshments. The public is invited to attend.
