Warming shelters in Washington County
Calais- Downeast Recovery Support Center 311 Main Street Calais Friday 9 am into Saturday, Sunday to be determined.
Machias- Downeast Recovery Support on 11 Free St. Machias will be open 9 am Friday into Saturday with Sunday to be determined.
Princeton Fire Department- call fire chief at 207-952-2577 if you need help and a warm place they will open fire station on 16 Mill Street Princeton
Jonesport Fire Station 44 Main Street open now till Sunday morning as warming station. Call 207-497-2857
Dennysville Snowmobile and ATV Clubhouse at 24 Milwaukee Road in Dennysville is open now 24/7 as a warming station. If you need a ride to get there call 263-6306.
Machias-UMM Reynolds/Murdock Center during normal business hours, please bring photo ID. Open during normal business hours , Friday, and Saturday. Waiving the cost of a day pass.
Pembroke- will open the American Legion only if needed. Call Milan Jamieson at 207-263-6867 or Legion at 207-726-1041 and they will open Friday if called.
Cherryfield- Weald Bethel Community Center at 6 Weald Bethel Lane in Cherryfield is opening a warming center. Weald Bethel Community Center on the Mission’s Downeast Campus will be open as a warming center on Friday and Saturday. There will be tea, hot cocoa, and coffee available, and community members are welcome to stay as long as they need. 207-546-4466
Baileyville- the town office of Baileyville will be available for a warming center. If the office is closed after 4 pm call dispatch at 207-427-6992 and someone will let you in. The town office is located at 63 Broadway in Baileyville.
Lubec- The Lubec Fire Station will be open as a warming center overnight on Friday Feb 3. The fire station is located at 40 School Street. Call 207-733-4641.
