Light snow will develop Thursday and become heavier Thursday evening before transitioning to a wintry mix then rain from south to north overnight into Friday morning. Winter weather headlines are likely, mainly across central and northern areas where the chance of at least 4 inches of snowfall is greatest. Rainfall amounts Thursday night to Saturday morning in excess of one and a half to two inches are possible across Downeast areas, which may lead to localized flooding of poor drainage areas.
