A significant low pressure system from the lower Mississippi valley will bring snow to the region later Thursday Night changing to mixed precipitation and rain over Downeast areas by Midday Friday, central areas Friday Afternoon, and perhaps even across the north by early Friday Evening. Precipitation will then change back to a brief period of snowfall late Friday night across the region before tapering to scattered snow showers by Saturday Morning.
