This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Central Highlands Maine,
Coastal DownEast Maine, Far Eastern Maine, Far Northern Maine,
Interior DownEast Maine, North Woods Maine and Penobscot Valley
Maine.

A significant low pressure system from the lower Mississippi valley
will bring snow to the region later Thursday Night changing to mixed
precipitation and rain over Downeast areas by Midday Friday, central
areas Friday Afternoon, and perhaps even across the north by early
Friday Evening. Precipitation will then change back to a brief
period of snowfall late Friday night across the region before
tapering to scattered snow showers by Saturday Morning. Winter
weather headlines are likely for this event, especially across
Central and Northern areas, but snowfall totals remain uncertain due
to low confidence with the eventual low track at this time. Please
monitor latest forecast updates as we approach this event.
