Bucket Sit Fundraiser Thursday Sept. 8th at 4pm and ending at 6pm on Saturday Sept. 10th.

For the past 17 Years the St. Stephen Fire Department has been holding a Bucket Sit Fundraiser to raise money for upgrading and purchasing additional Specialized Rescue Equipment.

Through the generous support of local Business, the residents of the area and Local Service Groups, the St. Stephen Fire Department has been able to purchase much needed equipment. The volunteers have decided to take on a bigger project for the next few years and start raising money to put towards supporting efforts to plan, design, and eventually construct a new fire station. The present station has served them well but with the equipment getting bigger and the many roles they take on in today’s society the station has become too small to house all the equipment and to allow expansion of possible services for the community in the future. The firefighters know they will not be able to raise all the money themselves but want to work with the town and help as much as possible

.

To keep pace with the ever changing demands and requirements of the Fire / Rescue service being provided to the people of the Western portion of Charlotte County the St. Stephen Fire Department will once again be holding the Annual Bucket Sit, September 8th, 9h and 10th, 2022, at the ATLANTIC SUPERSTORE on King St..

A Firefighter will be spending 50 hours, 50 feet in the air starting Thursday Sept. 8th at 4pm and ending at 6pm on Saturday Sept. 10th.

They will earn 5 minutes of break time for each hour they are in the Bucket.

You can help support this project by purchasing a Rung on Merts Escape Ladder.

For a Donation of $50.00 or more, your name or the name of your organization will be placed on a rung and displayed at the site of the Bucket Sit.

Tax receipts are available for donations of $50.00 or more on request.

Funds raised from the bucket sit will help the firefighters protect our citizens and this vibrant community now and into the future
