Chief Bob Fitzsimmons Will Eat A Veggie Pizza Slice for The Snow Dragons

From The Baileyville Police Departs Facebook Page..
I was thinking of things I could do for our kids that help shovel around the town. I asked myself what did I want when I was a teenager? The answer was Jaclyn Smith from Charlie’s Angels and my driver’s license.
Then it hit me. Driver’s Ed. I contacted Lisa Dereszewski and asked about the cost of the class. It cost just over $500.
So here is what I have come up with. For each kid who comes out and shovels and helps around town, I will put your name in a hat. You shovel after one storm you get your name in the drawing once. You help during two storms and your name gets entered twice. You see how this is going to go. The more storms you help with the more times your name goes in.
If you don’t hit the age for driver’s ed. in the next year or so we can come up with something for you at about the same value.
If we raise more money maybe we can help 2 kids. We’ll have to see how things go.
If you know me at all you know I absolutely detest green veggies (any color actually). Hate them. Won’t eat them. They give me the heebie-jeebies. I posted a question last night about eating a slice of an all-veggie pizza and what somebody would pledge to watch that on Facebook Live. The dollar amounts that people threw at me showed me that this could work.
Then the cherry on top of the sundae was when Shawn Newell spoke up and said he would make me a pizza just like his mom Jean used to make at Downeast Pizza and kick in $100. Now I’m committed. Help the kids and eat some pizza with terrible toppings.
Parents when the snow falls grab the controller out of your kids’ hands and put a shovel in it and send them down the road to help. It just might save you a few dollars.
We’ll do the drawing and eat the veggies when the Spednic Club has the kids out for the pizza party in the spring. There is plenty of time to send in your checks.
