Costly errors for the Blue Devils led to six unearned runs as Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln beat Calais 8-4 yesterday.
Calais was led by Skinny Dana who had two hits and drove in a run. Tony Dana and Kobe Saunders each doubled, with Saunders driving in a run.
Ti Bennett pitched 4 2/3 strong innings, only allowing one earned run, while striking out five Lynx hitters. Skinny Dana pitched the final 2 1/3 innings, only allowing two earned runs.
Calais next takes the field today at home against Shead with a 4:00 start time.
