ORONO, Maine (AP) — Authorities have determined there is no active threat at the University of Maine stemming from a threatening social media post that canceled baseball games at the school. UMaine canceled a doubleheader against the University of Hartford over the weekend after the social media post that said a New Hampshire man, Afshin Zarechian, was a threat to the school. The Portland Press Herald reports police in New Hampshire are continuing to conduct a missing person investigation in connection with the case. Police said Zarechian has not been implicated in any criminal activity.
