The RCMP have arrested a 56-year-old Nackawic man for impaired driving after his vehicle crashed into the Nackawic Fire Hall.

Police said 56-year-old Edwin Samuel Bradley was charged in court on Tuesday with impaired
driving, refusal to provide a breath sample and breaching his
conditions. He is being held in custody until Thursday where he will
appear in Woodstock Court for a show cause hearing.

The charges stem from an investigation into the incident where a man drove his vehicle into the Nackawic Fire Hall shortly after 7:30 a.m. Monday morning.

A fire truck was destroyed and there was significant damage to the fire hall. No one was injured during the incident.

Members from the Nackawic Fire Department were assisted by the Dumfries Fire Department and the Millville Fire Department.

The investigation is continuing.
