EAST MACHIAS, Maine -- The Downeast Salmon Federation invites the public to visit their East Machias Aquatic Research Center (EMARC) and Peter Gray Memorial Hatchery at 13 Willow Street in East Machias.

Located on the banks of the East Machias River, the hatchery at EMARC is home to tens of thousands of endangered juvenile Atlantic salmon.

The salmon reared at EMARC will be released into the East Machias River as part of the DSF's Parr Project in an effort to boost salmon numbers.  Come check out their visitor's center and learn more about the Parr Project, Atlantic salmon, and the Downeast Salmon Federation and their many programs.

Tour the Peter Gray Memorial Hatchery and see the unique rearing process and hatchery operations.
