RCMP: Body Of McAdam, N.B. Man Recovered From Spednic Lake - Jul. 02, 2014

RCMP say the body of a 38-year-old McAdam man was recovered from Spednic Lake, a portion of the St. Croix River waterway.

McAdam RCMP received a call shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday night that a man had fallen out of an inflatable dinghy while on the water with a friend. He was not wearing a life-jacket at the time. After the man fell into the water he was immediately submerged and did not resurface.

The RCMP Dive Team were called to the scene and recovered the body of Jayson Kenneth Townes, of McAdam, shortly before noon Wednesday.

McAdam and Harvey fire departments assisted with the search. Foul play is not suspected.
