Troop J Weekly Report - Jun. 16, 2014
This week Troop J responded to 190 calls for service. The following are noteworthy complaints:
Trooper Bryan Creamer investigated a rollover crash on the Toddy Pond Road in Surry. As a result of the investigation a 43-year-old Surry woman was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol.
Trooper Dan Ryan investigated a report of theft of tools from a garage in Penobscot. Investigation continues.
Trooper Dan Ryan received a harassment complaint. Warnings were given.
Sergeant Alden Bustard summonsed a 26-year-old Lincoln woman for operating after suspension as the result of a traffic stop in Bangor.
Trooper Kim Sawyer received a complaint from Emera Maine that a residence in East Machias had the meter stolen. Investigation continues.
Trooper Kim Sawyer received a complaint that the Whiting Community Center door was damaged sometime over the weekend.
Trooper Chris Smith and K9 Winger were called to the Eastside Road in Addison to conduct a track for a 31-year-old Addison man. Lieutenant Timothy Tabbutt of Washington Sheriff's Office requested the K9 track after the man fled from a vehicle during a traffic stop. Winger tracked the subject and ultimately he was arrested without further incident.
Trooper Andy Foss summoned a 29-year-old Lubec woman for OAS. The traffic stop was Route 189, Lubec.
Trooper Andy Foss investigated a domestic in Machiasport. It was determined that a crime was not committed and parties were separated for the night.
Sergeant Alden Bustard summoned a 54-year-old Columbia Falls man for criminal speeding 30-plus as the result of a traffic stop in T22.
Trooper Cliff Peterson and Trooper Brian Creamer responded to a domestic dispute in Verona. The dispute was verbal in nature and the parties were separated for the night.
Trooper Jeffrey Taylor served a cease harassment notice to a man in Columbia Falls as result of a complaint where the person threatened to poison several resident's gardens.
Trooper Jeffrey Taylor arrested a 24-year-old Hancock man on an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear. He was also summonsed for operating after suspension as result of a traffic stop in Harrington. A 32-year-old Biddeford woman was also summoned for sale and use of drug paraphernalia.
Trooper Bryan Creamer investigated a report of a burglary and theft in Sullivan. The complainant called back the next day to report that she had gotten her belongings back and no longer needed our assistance.
Trooper Cliff Peterson investigated an assault complaint in Sullivan. It was reported that his 51-year-old ex-girlfriend had called him and invited him to her residence. The complainant alleged that when he arrived, she assaulted him. She was arrested for domestic assault.
Trooper Greg Roy summonsed a 48-year-old Sullivan man for operating after suspension as a result of a traffic stop in Franklin.
Trooper Bryan Creamer investigated a report of an assault in Hancock. The complainant reported that he was assaulted by a 46-year-old Hancock man. After investigating Trooper Creamer issue him a summons for assault, and issued the complainant a trespass warning.
Trooper Greg Roy summoned a 48-year-old Sullivan man for operating after suspension as a result of a traffic stop in Sullivan.
Trooper Greg Roy received a harassment complaint in Sullivan. The complainant reported that her ex-boyfriend, a 47-year-old Gouldsboro man had been harassing her and asking her for money. He was summoned for harassment.
Trooper Dan Ryan investigated a domestic assault in Brooksville. A 30-year-old man was arrested the following day for domestic assault.
Trooper Miles Carpenter investigated a trespass complaint in Otis. Warnings were given.
Trooper Miles Carpenter investigated a noise complaint at a restaurant in Hancock. The complaint was that a tenant in the upstairs apartment had his music to loud and refused to turn it down. The music was turned down and he was also given a warning not to enter the restaurant.
Trooper Bryan Creamer investigated a report of a burglary in Meddybemps. Investigation continues.
Sergeant Tim Varney arrested a 47-year-old Glenburn man for OUI after he was stopped for speeding on Route 9 in Aurora.
Trooper Andy Foss investigated a complaint of criminal mischief in Lubec. A lawn mower was thrown through a window. Investigation continues.
Trooper Andy Foss investigated a domestic in Perry. A 33-year-old man was arrested for assault.
