RCMP: Four Arrests, Nearly 35 Pounds Of Marijuana Seized - Dec. 17, 2013
WOODSTOCK, New Brunswick -- New Brunswick RCMP say four people have been arrested and nearly 35 pounds of marijuana and $16,000 in cash have been seized following a three-month investigation.
According to police, a search warrant was conducted at a residence in Carter's Point, N.B. in late October. Two and half pounds of marijuana were seized, and 46-year-old Saint John man and a 45-year-old Saint John woman were arrested.
Following these arrests, the investigation continued.
On Friday December 13, two vehicles were intercepted in Lincoln, N.B.
Fifteen pounds of marijuana was seized, along with $14,300 in cash.
The RCMP said a 58-year-old Woodstock man and a 60-year-old Woodstock woman were arrested. The 45-year-old woman who had been arrested in October was also arrested again. A further search of a residence in Woodstock led to the seizure of 18 additional pounds of marijuana and $1500 in cash.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending. All four of
