Calais Police Weekly Report - Sep. 16, 2013
Calais Police Department handled 68 complaints over the course of the past week, many of which were classified as "assists."
We assisted other law enforcement agencies by serving summons on their behalf and, provided Intoxilizer service for their suspects. Calais Police Department assisted Calais Fire Rescue with intoxicated, combative patient. There were also several public and civil assists as well.
This seemed to be the week of the noise complaint. Six such complaints were made during this time resulting in warnings being issued to various subjects throughout the City.
Two domestic assault complaints were reported this week and remain under investigation.
On 9/11 officers were requested to respond to Palmer St. for the report of an altercation. After speaking with parties involved, officers summoned a juvenile on the charge of assault.
A 35-year-old Calais man was arrested 9/13 for an outstanding warrant from Ellsworth. The man was bailed from Calais.
On 9/14 officers were dispatched to South St. for a theft complaint. As a result, a 25-year-old Pleasant Point man was summoned for theft.
While investigating another complaint officers discovered an active warrant for a 34-year-old Calais man. He was arrested and transported to Washington County Jail.
Vandalism, theft and domestic assault complaints were added to the investigations this week, and charges may be noted at a later time.
