Next Step Domestic Violence Project: Hotline Training - Sep. 10, 2013

Washington County, ME -- Next Step Domestic Violence Project of Washington and Hancock Counties would also like to invite the surrounding community to a free training being offered this fall in the Northern Washington County area.

The training is a 40 hour interactive, discussion based, class providing information and role-play scenarios on topics ranging from responding to an emergency domestic situation, all the way to the basics of how to have a helpful conversation.

Next Step provides a toll free 24/7 hotline, court advocacy, support groups, and several events each year which are only made possible through the dedication of our volunteers.  If you would like to become a volunteer, or find out more about how to support those facing domestic abuse, this training is for you.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or learning more about our training, please contact Sherene at 255-4934. Dates, time, and exact location will be scheduled based on the availability of people interested in participating.  No prior experience or knowledge is needed.

If you are facing domestic violence, please call Next Step's toll-free, 24-hour hotline for Washington or Hancock County at 1-800-315-5579.
