Troop J Weekly Report - Aug. 26, 2013
This week Troop J responded to 209 calls for service. The following are noteworthy complaints:
Trooper Keith York arrested a 41-year-old Milbridge for man violation of condition of release at his residence.
Sergeant Tim Varney summonsed a 23-year-old Halifax, Nova Scotia man for criminal speed on Route 9 in Aurora.
Trooper Daniel Ryan responded to a late report crash in Brooksville where the 23-year-old operator was summonsed for failure to report an accident by quickest means.
Trooper Chad Lindsey responded to a theft complaint in Robbinston where a chain gate was reported stolen. This was determined to be unfounded.
Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a theft complaint in Blue Hill where electronics were reported stolen. Investigation continues.
Trooper Daniel Ryan arrested a 48-year-old man in Stonington for having three active warrants for his arrest.
Trooper Miles Carpenter responded to a theft complaint in Franklin where prescription medications were reported stolen. Investigation continues.
Trooper Kim Sawyer received a call for a health and welfare check of a man from Lewiston, who was supposed to go to Campobello, New Brunswick but never showed up. Trooper Kim Sawyer located him in Lubec and he was fine.
Trooper David Barnard responded to a camp break in on the Grist Mill Road in Franklin. An antique wood stove and 3 antique rocking chairs were taken.
Trooper David Barnard responded to a residential burglary on the Washington Junction Road in Hancock. Someone had broken into the residence and took two guitars.
Trooper Jason Fowler arrested a 38-year-old East Machias woman for operating after suspension as the result of a traffic stop in Meddybemps.
Trooper Cliff Peterson arrested a 19-year-old Argyle woman for operating without a driver's license as the result of a traffic stop in Trenton.
Trooper Jeff Taylor arrested a 51-year-old Fletchers Landing woman for violation of conditions of release as the result of a traffic stop in Ellsworth. She was also summonsed for operating after suspension.
Trooper Kim Sawyer summonsed a 26-year-old Indian Township woman for theft at the Princeton Food Mart on 8/15/13.
Trooper David Barnard responded to a camp burglary on Mildred Road in Mariaville in which camping gear was taken. Trooper Jeff Taylor arrested a 36-year-old Otis man on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Trooper Jeff Taylor summonsed a 47-year-old Addison man for operating after suspension as the result of a traffic stop in Hancock.
Trooper Greg Roy arrested a 31-year-old Ellsworth man for OUI as the result of a traffic stop in Ellsworth. He was transported to the Hancock County jail.
Trooper Greg Roy arrested an 18-year-old Trenton man for OUI as the result of a traffic stop in Tremont. The man was transported to the Hancock County jail in Ellsworth.
Trooper Staci Carpenter received a complaint of theft of services from an employee of Bangor Hydro. It was reported that the electricity to a residence in Milbridge had been turned back on illegally after the service had been disconnected. A 34-year-old Milbridge man was summonsed for theft of services.
Trooper Jeff Taylor arrested a 25-year-old Jonesport man on two outstanding arrest warrants as the result of a traffic stop in Jonesport.
Sergeant Jeffrey Ingemi attempted to stop a vehicle on the Hadley Lake Road in Marshfield for criminal speed. The vehicle fled a short distance and the operator then fled on foot. A 33-year-old man was summonsed the following day for criminal speed, failure to stop for an officer and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Washington Sheriff's Office assisted.
Trooper Chad Lindsey responded to a family fight complaint in Danforth. This stemmed from being distraught over family issues and no crimes were found to have been committed. A short time later another fight over the person's distraught behavior during the day occurred. Neither party wished to pursue criminal charges and both were warned for disorderly conduct and harassment. Sergeant Jeffrey Ingemi and Border Patrol assisted.
Trooper Daniel Ryan responded to a crash in Castine where the operator fled the scene. A 24-year-old subject was summonsed for leaving the scene and failure to report the accident by quickest means. Marine Patrol assisted.
