Troop J Weekly Report - Jul. 01, 2013
This week Troop J responded to 147 calls for service. The following are noteworthy complaints:
Trooper Jeffrey Taylor arrested a 24-year-old Ellsworth man for OUI as the result of a traffic stop in Hancock.
Trooper Andy Foss responded to a Domestic complaint where the complainant did not wish to pursue criminal charges and the parties were separated for the night.
Trooper Dan Ryan responded to Blue Hill where it was reported that a 42-year-old man was destroying the residence. He was arrested after getting sprayed with Cap Stun.
Trooper Andy Foss responded to Jonesboro where a chainsaw was stolen off of a backhoe. Investigation continues.
Trooper Andy Foss responded to Northfield where a vehicle was broken into and tools were stolen. Investigation continues.
Trooper Dan Ryan responded to Deer Isle where a sign and toys were damaged by a vehicle. Investigation Continues.
Trooper Jeffrey Taylor arrested a 69-year-old Hancock man for Violating Conditions of Release. He was also summonsed for refusing to sign a criminal summons.
Trooper Dan Ryan responded to Blue Hill for a family fight where the parties were separated.
Trooper Andy Foss responded to Dennysville to assist EMS.
Trooper Chad Lindsay summonsed a 32-year-old woman for Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle beyond 150 days after a traffic stop on Route 9. Her plates had expired in April, 2012.
Trooper Miles Carpenter responded to Sullivan for a family fight. No crimes were committed and the parties were separated for the night.
Trooper Jason Fowler summonsed a 32-year-old Indian Township woman for Felony Theft following an investigation. She was also issued a trespass notice for the Princeton Food Mart.
Trooper Jeffrey Taylor arrested a 25-year-old Milbridge man for Violating Conditions of Release. Marijuana was found and seized as a result of a traffic stop on the Ridge Road in Cherryfield for speeding.
Trooper Greg Roy investigated a harassment complaint in Castine. It was reported that the person was being harassed over the telephone. Trooper Roy issued a written cease harassment warning.
Trooper Greg Roy investigated a mailbox vandalism complaint in Deer Isle.
Trooper Andy Foss responded to Wesley for the theft of a riding lawn mower. Investigation continues.
Trooper Jeffrey Taylor summonsed a 33-year-old Bucksport man for Operating After Suspension on the Surry Road in Surry.
Trooper Chad Lindsey received a complaint in Cooper of gas stolen from the complainant's truck and lawnmowers sometime since September. Investigation continues.
Trooper Dan Ryan responded to Deer Isle where mailboxes were damaged, investigation continues.
Trooper Jason Fowler summonsed a 43-year-old Indian Township man for Violation of Conditional Release. The man was causing a disturbance in a Princeton trailer park and was found to be under the influence of liquor which violated his bail conditions.
Trooper Greg Roy and Sergeant Alden Bustard responded to a suspicious complaint in Verona Island. As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old Verona Island man was arrested for Violation of Condition of Release for consuming alcohol.
Trooper Greg Roy received a theft report in Otis. The owner reported he arrived at his seasonal camp and noticed an aluminum canoe and a propane tank were stolen.
Trooper Greg Roy arrested a 45-year-old Franklin man for Operating Under the Influence after Trooper Roy discovered the man unconscious in his vehicle on Route 182 in Hancock. The man refused to exit his vehicle and attempted to drive away. Trooper Roy used his cruiser and boxed in the manís vehicle to prevent him from leaving.
Trooper Miles Carpenter responded to T22 for a reported burglary to a camp. Investigation continues.
