Troop J Weekly Report - Mar. 18, 2013

This week Troop J responded to 138 calls for service. The following are noteworthy complaints:


3-11-13


Trooper Michael Southard responded to a family fight complaint in Trenton. There were no crimes committed and they were separated. Ellsworth Police Department assisted.


Trooper Kim Sawyer received a complaint that a woman from Indian Township threatened him and tried to hit him at the Princeton Irving on March 9. The woman was given a harassment notice.


Trooper Jason Fowler summonsed a 26-year-old Baring man for criminal speed on Route 9 in Crawford.

Trooper Kim Sawyer summonsed a 61-year-old Nova Scotia man for OAS, Class E (for failure to appear in April 1986 for a speeding ticket) on Route 9, Alexander after a traffic stop for speed.

Trooper Kim Sawyer arrested a 42-year-old Robbinston man for an outstanding warrant.

Trooper Greg Roy summonsed a 45-year-old Deer Isle man for operating after habitual Offender Revocation as a result of a traffic stop on Route 15A in Stonington.


3-17-13


Trooper Chad Lindsey responded to a theft complaint in Marshfield, where a utility trailer with a small building and solar panels on the roof of that building were reported stolen. Investigation continues.


Trooper Michael Southard responded to a theft complaint in Dedham where two vehicles were entered during the night. Prescription drugs and other items were reported stolen from one of the vehicles. Both were parked in the Lucerne Inn parking lot. Investigation continues.


Trooper Bryan Creamer investigated a report of a single vehicle crash on the Front Ridge Rd. in Orland. As a result, a 40-year-old Orland man was arrested for OUI. He was taken to MCMH to get checked out and have blood drawn. He was then taken to the Hancock County Jail.


Trooper David Barnard stopped a vehicle on Route 172 in Surry. The 21-year-old operator, was summonsed for possession of a usable amount of marijuana. A 19-year-old  passenger was summonsed for the sale and use of drug paraphernalia.
