RCMP: Man Arrested For Theft Of Truck And Liquor - Mar. 06, 2013

A 40-year-old man from Lepreau, N.B. has been arrested in Fredericton in connection with the theft of a truck and liquor.

District 1 RCMP received a complaint Tuesday night of liquor being stolen from the Alcool NB Liquor agency store at the Lepreau Petro-Canada. Police were unable to locate the man last night.

This morning, the RCMP learned that a commercial pickup truck stolen from the Lepreau area had been last seen in the area of the agency store at about the same time the alleged theft had occurred.

The Fredericton Police Force recovered the vehicle and arrested the man this morning. He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.  Charges of possession of property obtained by crime, failure to comply with court orders, and other offences are being considered.

District 1 RCMP and Fredericton Police are continuing to investigate.
