Troop J Weekly Report - Mar. 05, 2013

This week Troop J responded to 144 calls for service. The following are noteworthy complaints:


2-25-13


Trooper Staci Carpenter responded to a domestic dispute in Lubec. The dispute was verbal in nature and party was separated for the night.


Trooper Greg Roy summonsed a 42-year-old Hancock man for operating after suspension as the result of a traffic stop in Deer Isle.


Trooper Cliff Peterson arrested a 20-year-old Milbridge man for operating without a driver's license as the result of a traffic stop in Franklin.

Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a criminal mischief complaint in Blue Hill where some items were damaged by spray-paint. Investigation continues.


Trooper Miles Carpenter arrested a 50-year-old woman in Harrington for violation of conditional release and having an active warrant for his arrest. She was also charged for possession of a usable amount of marijuana and operating after suspension after she was found in violation during a traffic safety check. Sergeant Jeffrey Ingemi assisted.

Trooper Andrew Foss assisted EMS in Cherryfield with a car that went off the road due to medical issues with the operator.


Trooper Chad Lindsey responded to a burglary complaint in East Machias where it was reported that some alcohol was removed from a bottle. Investigation continues.


Trooper Michael Southard handled a violation of conditional release complaint in Tremont. When Trooper Southard made contact with the woman she denied that her ex had contacted her directly or indirectly and was uncooperative with the investigation. No crimes were found to have been committed.

Trooper Fowler summonsed a 24-year-old Perry woman for aggravated forgery and receiving stolen property as a result of criminal investigations from 12/20/12 and 1/4/13. Pleasant Point Police Department assisted in locating the subject.


Trooper Greg Roy received a theft complaint in Brooksville. It was reported that a Ford Explorer had been taken from the driveway. The vehicle was recovered a short time later after it crashed in Deer Isle. The operator was not located. The investigation continues.


Trooper Cliff Peterson received a harassment complaint in Trenton. The person was warned not to send text messages of a threatening nature.


Sergeant Alden Bustard arrested a 34-year-old Cherryfield man on charges of being a fugitive from justice. He had an active arrest warrant out of Ohio on charges of false statement with full extradition. Detective Elmar Farren and Washington Sheriff's Office also assisted with the arrest.


Trooper Staci Carpenter responded to the Port of Entry in Lubec to assist U.S. Customs with a driver who was attempting to cross the border who was believed to be intoxicated. Trooper Carpenter arrested a 57-year-old New Brunswick man for operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor.


Trooper Cliff Peterson received a harassment complaint in Machiasport. The investigation continues.


Trooper Cliff Peterson arrested a 32-year-old Eastbrook man for violation of his drug court conditions. He had been drinking and would not provide a urine sample and he was transported to the Hancock County jail. Sergeant Alden Bustard and Trooper Greg Roy also assisted at the scene.

Trooper Greg Roy summonsed a 34-year-old Bucksport man and a 47-year-old Orland man for possession of a useable amount of marijuana as the result of a traffic stop in Orland.


Trooper Cliff Peterson arrested a 34-year-old Milbridge man for operating after suspension and on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Machias Superior Court as the result of a traffic stop in Hancock.


Sergeant Alden Bustard summonsed a 42-year-old Milbridge man for operating after suspension as the result of a traffic stop in Milbridge.

Trooper Greg Roy summonsed a 19-year-old Uxbridge, MA, man for criminal speed and operating without a license as a result of a traffic stop on Route 182 in Franklin. He was speeding in a 45 mph zone and was operating on a Massachusetts permit.
