CPD: Man Passes Out Behind Wheel With Heroin, Pills, And Pot In Car - Jan. 25, 2013

CALAIS, Maine (WQDY NEWS) -- There are only two sets of traffic lights of the red, yellow and green kind in Washington County and both are in Calais.

Calais police said a man was arrested after he stopped at one of those sets of lights on North Street by the McDonald's Restaurant just before 1 p.m. Thursday. When the light turned green he did not go.

Sgt. Chris Donahue told WQDY NEWS, they ended up arresting the driver, Glen Carter, 25, of Charlotte, on warrants.

But that wasn't all.

"During the arrest, with the assist of the U.S. Border Patrol and their K-9, there were baggies believed to be [allegedly] containing heroin. There were pills that we believe that are Xanax and a baggie with marijuana in it. Carter was charged with possession of Scheduled drugs along with the warrants," Donahue said.
