Calais Police Beat - Dec. 10, 2012
Activity on the Calais police beat includes a pair of arrests involving outstanding warrants -- A 53-year-old Machias man was arrested for failure to pay a fine and a 22-year-old Alexander man was arrested for failure to appear.
A 27-year-old Charlotte man was arrested for violations of conditions of release and issued a summons for operating after suspension on Garfield Street.
A 19-year-old Perry man was arrested early Thursday evening on Main Street for operating without a license. He also did not want to go gently into that good night and was also charged for refusing to submit to arrest / detention.
A 24-year-old Meddybemps man was arrested for operating after suspension and summonsed for attaching false plates. They were real Maine plates -- they just weren't for that vehicle.
A 34-year-old Princeton man was summonsed for theft from a local store --shoplifting. "The man walked in with sneakers and tried to leave with boots," said Sgt. Chris Donahue. "A $47 pair of boots that weren't made for walking. He concealed his sneakers in his shirt."
A man was summonsed on for illegal possession of liquor by a minor. The 19-year-old Perry man might not have been immediately noticed had he not been walking down the North Street making a lot of noise.
All have a Feb. 5, court date in Calais.
