Troop J Weekly Report - Nov. 13, 2012
This week Troop J responded to 154 calls for service. The following are noteworthy complaints:
Nov. 5:
Trooper Andrew Foss summonsed a 31-year-old man in Whitneyville for operating after suspension.
Trooper Michael Southard conducted a bail check in Eastbrook on a 31-year-old man who was found to be in violation of his drug court conditions and was arrested for violation of conditional release.
Nov. 6:
Trooper Jason Fowler was one of 11 Maine State Troopers in New Jersey all week assisting with the Hurricane Sandy relief effort.

Trooper Cliff Peterson received a report of a vehicle operating erratically on Route 3 in Trenton. Trooper Peterson located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop as it turned onto a private road. A passenger, a 34-year-old Swanville man, fled on foot and was taken into custody by Trooper Peterson. The man was on bail and had been drinking. He was arrested for violation of conditions of release. A second passenger and owner of the vehicle, a 31-year-old Searsport man, had been drinking and was on probation. He was arrested for violation of probation. The operator fled on foot and was not located. Sergeant Alden Bustard and Corporal Steve Hills along with his canine "Lola" also assisted at the scene.
Nov. 7:
Trooper Staci Carpenter responded to a vehicle off the road in Columbia Falls involving a 37-year-old Addison woman. She had two warrants for failure to appear from an OUI from 1999. She was arrested and transported to Washington County Jail without incident as well as being summonsed for OAS.
Nov. 8:
Trooper Andrew Foss responded to a burglary complaint in Whitneyville where cash was reported missing from a residence. Investigation continues.
Trooper Greg Roy, Trooper Cliff Peterson and Sergeant Alden Bustard responded to a domestic dispute in Blue Hill. The person was escorted from the residence and was warned not to return.
Nov. 9:
Trooper Cliff Peterson received a complaint in Orland where a 39-year-old subject was arrested for tampering with a victim and violation of conditions of release.
Trooper Greg Roy arrested an 18-year-old Ellsworth man on an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear on an OAS charge.
Nov. 10:
Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a criminal mischief complaint in Deer Isle where a business had been vandalized. Investigation continues.
Trooper Andrew Foss a 55-year--old woman in Lubec for operating under the influence of alcohol.
Nov. 11:
Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a theft complaint in Sedgwick where an outboard motor was reported stolen. Investigation continues.
Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a trespassing complaint in Sedgwick where it was reported that someone was staying in an unoccupied residence. Investigation continues.
Trooper Barnard responded to a noise complaint in Otis. It was called in that the people living in the apartment above had the TV turned way up and it was keeping her small child awake. Trooper Barnard warned the neighbor about the noise.
