Over $35,000 Raised By St. Croix Valley Relay For Life - Jun. 18, 2012
Although new donations are still being received, St. Croix Valley Relay For Life organizers confirmed Monday that local teams had raised at least $35,157 for the American Cancer Society.
The event was the thirteenth annual area Relay, held once again at Washington County Community College Saturday night.
Marianne Moore, Chair of the event's planning committee was excited about the results. "These teams are awesome!" she said.
"It's such a thrill to see everyone pulling together, even in a tough economy like this one. We've all been touched by cancer in one way or another, and it means so much that local people would be so generous," Moore said.
