Legendary Maine Humorist Tim Sample will return to his former hometown of Calais on Saturday, May 20, for an evening of his trademark Maine humor. The show will be held at Calais Middle High School gymnasium. Doors open at 6 pm. The show begins at 7 pm sharp and proceeds from the event will benefit Girl Scout Troop 2259

Born in Fort Fairfield in 1951, and raised on the Maine coast Tim began performing with high school rock bands in the sixties. An important break came in 1976 when he was hired as the opening act for legendary singer/songwriter Noel “Paul” Stookey
(Paul of Peter, Paul and Mary) Over the next few years Sample and Stookey collaborated a number of other projects. In 1980 Noel produced Tim’s first comedy album and the rest, as they say, is history.
