New Brunswick Power is still having issues on their side feeding the EMEC transmission line. They are now estimating restoration at 10:00am 5/2/2023. The issue is a faulty switch in their OakBay station along with a downed line on their line that feeds EMECs system. Currently their crews are working on the issue but expect it to be a lengthy process. The majority of EMECs system is down from Perry to Orient, west to Wesley on Rt9 and west to Lee on RT6, and Rt6 east to Vanceboro.

A power outage on the Canadian side of the border has also cut power to Eastern Maine Electric’s main transmission line. The NB Power outage affects about 80% of Eastern Maine Electric’s delivery network. All Washington County members, the Route 6 corridor, and Aroostook County as far north as Orient are without power. We will update this message if we get more information before power is restored.

EMEC line crews are continuing to make repairs to the known damage on this side of the border. We will update this message if we get new information before power is restored.

NOTE: If your outage is not listed on the outage map, it is possible the map is still being updated. The Co-op may know the power is out at some homes, without being able to immediately verify the extent of the outage. Until the verification can be done, the outage will not appear on the map.
