Calais – Dr. Amy Tan will be providing general surgery services for Calais Community Hospital (CCH) beginning in June. She will be working in the Surgical Services office at 15 Palmer Street in Calais. Referrals are currently being accepted.
Dr. Tan brings over 15 years of experience to the CCH Surgery Department. She provides a full range of general surgery services including laparoscopic and minimally invasive techniques and has vast experience in breast surgery.
Dr. Tan earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She completed an Internship at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri and her General Surgery Residency at University of Oklahoma in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Surgical procedures available include: colon & small bowel resection; laparoscopic cholecystectomy; laparoscopic appendectomy; open hernia repair; hemorrhoidectomy; breast surgery; open & percutaneous mass biopsies; EGD & colonoscopy; skin lesion removal & biopsy; and many others.
