Calais Regional Hospital Announces New Directors and Trustees

The Calais Regional Hospital Annual Meeting was held on June 30.  As with many regular recurring events, the meeting format this year was vastly different due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Trustees voted via mailed ballot with only the smaller group of Directors convening during a combined in-person and video conference meeting.

CRH is governed by a Board of Directors who are selected from a larger body of Trustees.    In May 2019 the Board made changes to the bylaws to add term limits for Directors.  The changes allow Directors to serve three terms of three years each for a total of 9 years on the Board of Directors.

With the change effectuated this year, three long term Directors transitioned off the Board.  Thank you for many years of service to:

Herbert Clark (23 years), Linda Gralenski (27 years) and Dennis Mahar (32 years).

Each of them was presented with an engraved clock at the meeting as a token of appreciation.

The new incoming Directors are:  Bob Fitzsimmons, Britani Holloway and Ian Pratt.

The Board of Directors elected the follow as officers: Ron McAlpine, Chair; Everett Libby, Vice-Chair; Merritt Loring, Treasurer; and Todd Smith, Secretary.

Ten new Trustees were also welcomed:  Michael Ellis, John Gallant, Ellen Krajewski, Christopher Loughlin, James Myers, Anne Perry, Andrew Pottle,
Debbie Pottle, Kathleen Irving and Amanda Gardner.
