VIRUS OUTBREAK-MAINE

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Maine has closed its emergency operations center after seven employees showed coronavirus symptoms, prompting the center to conduct operations remotely. Maine Emergency Management Agency Director Peter Rogers said the seven workers represent half of the staff working in the operations center during the pandemic. Three employees work for Maine Emergency Management Agency, two work for Maine Center for Disease Control and two work for the Maine Army National Guard. Officials were awaiting test results.
