Mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain in upcoming storm

A mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is in the forecast for northern New England. The storm was expected to start late Wednesday and last through Friday. In Vermont, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch, with 8 to 13 inches of snow possible in the northern and central parts of the state. Less snowfall was expected in Maine and New Hampshire, where it’s expected to mix with rain, sleet and freezing rain in central and southern areas on Thursday. The weather estimated 4 to 6 inches of snow in northern Maine, and 2 to 3 inches elsewhere and in much of New Hampshire.
